Directorate General of IKM Kemenperin Gati Wibawaningsih said in Surabaya on Saturday (11/11) that the Ministry of Industry is committed to continue implementing pilot projects in the Santripreneur program, including to realize the independence of national industries based on sharia economy.
Santripreneur is a small and medium industry development program (IKM) in boarding school environment.
“Dalam kurun waktu tahun 2013-2015, Direktorat Jenderal IKM telah membina beberapa pondok pesantren dengan pelatihan tematik yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan potensi unit industri yang ada di pondok pesantren,” katanya.
Berdasarkan data Kementerian Agama, pada tahun 2014, pondok pesantren yang ada di Indonesia sebanyak 27.290 lembaga dengan jumlah santri mencapai 3,65 juta orang. Ini menjadi potensi bagi penumbuhan wirausaha baru dan sektor IKM di Tanah Air.
“Dalam implementasinya, kami memiliki dua model untuk mencapai sasaran tersebut. Pertama, Santri Berindustri, dan kedua yaitu Pesantren Berkreasi,” jelas Gati.
Model Santri Berindustri fokus pada pengembangan unit industri yang telah ada dan sumber daya manusia di lingkungan pondok pesantren yang terdiri dari santri dan alumni santri.
Meanwhile, Santri Berkreasimerupakan training and mentoring activities in the development of the creative potential of students and alumni who were elected from several boarding schools to become a professional in the field of visual arts, animation and multimedia according to industry standards today.
"The Santripreneur pilot project program has been run, for example in Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat, which is technical guidance program for fish processing and equipment aid, and technical guidance of footwear making," he explained.
The next program that will be done is technical guidance of LED lamp making and salt industry revitalization.
According to him, in order to succeed the Santripreneur program, Bank Indonesia (BI) has contributed to facilitating sharia business incubator regarding sharia and non-financial micro finance such as agribusiness and trade and services.
"Sharia business incubator aims to encourage the development of sharia economy through the economic empowerment of pesantren," he said.
Several programs are given, among others, business motivation training and business plan preparation, Rapid Rural Appraisal Training (RRA), preparation of feasibility study (FS), marketing strategy training, and business law training, fiqih mualah and aku syariah.
Working closely with BI, Kemenperin participated in Indonesia Shari'a EconomicFestival (ISEF) 2017 in Surabaya, filling eight booths of IKM commodities, Package and Brand Clinic, and Intellectual Property rights booth. In this event, the participants were given a facilitation facilitation of the market (promotion) by BI, including Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat.
ISEF is one of the largest and leading economic and financial events of sharia in Indonesia by integrating the development of the financial sector with the real sector economy. ISEF invited 80 leaders from representatives of large Pondok Pesantren throughout Indonesia and the sharia economy parapenggiat. (kemenperin / 03)
